Evil is real and so is courage

I could say a lot about today, about 9/11/2001, about how I felt and how I've changed. But my words can never honor the victims enough. So, today, just as I was 10 years ago, I am comforted by the words and demeanor of President George W. Bush. God bless America.

The Residents of Ho-Hum Drive

Erica - aka Eri aka Mama aka Buttercup: Full time home-maker. Loves the Midwest, cows, windchimes, Justin boots, pink Chuck Taylors and country music. Barefootin-gun lovin-pro life-laid back redneck girl. Politically somewhere to the right of Rush.

Nathan - aka Stomp aka Kidlet aka Bubba: Eri's oldest son. A third grader who loves video games, dogs, dinosaurs, Star Wars, legos, splashing and gettin dirty. Loves reading (especially Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Captain Underpants and The Hobbit) and is already better at math than Mama. Loves apples, popsicles, watermelon and anything that he deems "absurd".

Joshua - aka Joshie: Eri's "baby". Born 7/2/11 weighing 8lbs and measuring 21.25 inches. A funny and silly little blonde-haired-blue-eyed monster that we jokingly call the Giant Mutant Ninja Baby because of his ability to eat his body weight in fish sticks and to scale the furniture. Already a chatterbox (wonder where he gets THAT from) who loves to babble, laugh, dance, clap and eat.

Mr. Wonderful - Eri's significant other. Called "Mr. Wonderful" for a reason.

Mike - aka The Viking. Eri's ex husband and father of the boys.

Shelby - aka Shelbs aka Shelby of Flop aka Shelbradoodle: 6 year old Basset Hound/German Shepard. Sadly now living with "Grandma and Grandpa". We miss her.
