When two hearts beat together, the third one is conceived

Tonight...tonight The Viking had band practice. This left me and Stomp at home fending for ourselves. I desperately wanted some Hu-Hot. But I didn't want to drive to Lincoln. If I could find a good recipe to make some Khan's Favorite Sauce, I woulda made it at home. Since I couldn't do that, well I improvised and threw together some spaghetti with garlic/lemon/butter sauce. I hope it'll be tasty. I'll report back.

Turkey, by the way, loves lemons.

Turkey's favorite drink:
A full 32 oz glass of crushed ice. Add cold water and squeeze a half a lemon into the glass.

Perfection.

By far the most common craving of a pregnant woman is to no longer be pregnant.

Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon

Last night for supper I fixed us a roast chicken, some rice-a-roni and was goin to make some simple oven-roasted broccoli. Many moons ago, I saw Miss Rachael Ray throw it in the oven with some garlic and olive oil. My broccoli-fixin-life has never been the same. So anyway, I was gettin ready to pop it in the oven last night and I put some grape tomatoes and green onions in with it too. So.Stinkin.Yum.Tastical.

So, here's the recipe:

Fresh broccoli
grape tomatoes
1/2 stick butter
fresh minced garlic
green onion
red pepper flakes

In a casserole dish, sprayed down with no-stick spray, put in your veggies, cut up however you see fit. Slice up the butter and spread it across the top then sprinkle in the minced garlic and sprinkle just a few red pepper flakes across the top. Bake in a 400ish oven for 20-25 minutes.

Your life will never be the same. You're welcome. Or I'm sorry, dependin on your viewpoint :)

The long awaited (or not) pork chop recipe.

This is by far my favorite way to make pork chops. While they're good broiled, grilled AND fried, this is the recipe we use the most. You want to start with good thick cut chops. Brown them in a skillet until both sides are a goldeny brown. Then in your big glass casserole dish (I assume everyone has one of those), greased, lay the chops. In a separate bowl mix 2 cans of golden mushroom soup, 1 can of milk and 1 can of water. Whisk until well mixed. Pour over chops. Bake, covered with foil, in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes.

This dish serves up GREAT with rice and noodles. I usually spoon some of the good sauce leftover in the pork chop dish on top of both of those sides. Of course you can tweak this and add garlic, chile, or whatever other seasonings you may like. I like the flavor fine without any extras, myself. It reheats great because the sauce keeps the chops from drying out in the microwave. ENJOY!
