The Lee Ann Womack/Reba/George Strait concert was in a word *awesome*. I spent the entire week leading up to it squealing with joy and excitement, ranting about hot this was an event 30 years in the making. I've been a George Strait girl since I came out of the womb! He sang almost every one of my favorites, and all my less-favorite of my favorites (really, is there such a thing as a BAD George Strait song?! I submit that there is not)! We missed most of Lee Ann Womack unfortunately, but still had 4 1/2 hours of awesome entertainment. I had seen Reba before, many years ago, but it was neat to see her at this point in her career too. All in all, it was definitely one of the best days of my life (behind my wedding, the day Nathan was born and the day my Mama and Mark got married!)
"Boy, she don't need you and she don't need me
She can do just fine on her own two feet
But she wants a man who wants her to be herself
And she'll never change, don't know how to hide
Her stubborn will or her fightin' side
But you treat her right and she'll love you like no one else
Yeah, how 'bout them cowgirls
Boys ain't they somethin'
Sure are some proud girls
But you can't beat their lovin'
And I'll tell you right now girls
May just be seven wonders of this big, old round world
But how 'bout them cowgirls"
