God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers

Nathan is sick. Sore throat, cough, no voice, headache, the whole nine yards. Last night while he was loaded on cough syrup his daddy thought they should watch Mythbusters to cheer Nathan up. Nathan loves the episodes with guns (is he his Mama's boy or what?). As we're watching the one where they're trying to bend a bullet and testing the sonic boom, we heard the following tidbits from our high silly little Stomp:

"Look at that jet Mama! Dad says it costs 50 million dollars! What kind of jet do you think I can get for 1 dollar?"

"Oh Mama, when I'm a grown up I want to be an expert and shoots lots and lots of guns!" (Mama was so proud!)

So anywho, kiddo is home today and we're snuggling and eating cookies for breakfast and watching Toot and Puddle (how do you not know what you're don when you name a tv show that?). I've always said that I hate when Nathan is sick, but I realize I never feel more like a Mama than I do when I'm wiping a nose, snuggling away a sore throat and soothing a fever.

A mother's arms are made of tenderness and children sleep soundly in them."
